Dear Friends,
Thank you.
Those two words feel far too small for everything I carry in my heart when I think about the people who have walked beside me through life.
Some of you stepped in during the hardest seasons of my journey. Some of you have quietly loved me through ordinary days that became extraordinary simply because you were there. Some of you may never fully realize the impact you have had on my life, but I hope this letter helps you understand at least a little of it.
Thank you for showing up.
Thank you for the messages, the prayers, the laughter, the meals, the rides, the conversations, the distractions, the encouragement, and the countless acts of kindness that carried me more than you know. Thank you for treating me like a human being and not just a story, a diagnosis, or a tragedy to overcome.
Thank you for seeing beyond the scars.
Life after hardship can sometimes feel isolating, but friendship has a way of reminding people they are not alone. You reminded me there was still beauty left in this world. Still joy worth chasing. Still memories worth making. Still reasons to laugh until my stomach hurt. Still reasons to hope.
Thank you for walking with me not only through pain, but through life itself.
Thank you for the coffee runs, late-night talks, random adventures, celebrations, inside jokes, and moments that seemed simple but meant everything. Thank you for making space for both my grief and my growth.
I have learned that healing is not just found in surgeries, medicine, or time. Sometimes healing looks like people. People who stay. People who care. People who remind us we are loved.
You have been that for me. You have simply chosen me, to be a friend and not anything more. And for that, I am grateful.
“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2
With gratitude,
Thank you for being part of my story.
Kelsay
