In honor of International Burn Camp, hosted by the International Association of Fire Fighters

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

There is a power here,

a power stitched in courage and flame,

where scars are not endings,

but maps of survival,

roads leading us back to each other.

There is an honor here,

an honor that humbles the heart,

to be chosen, to be gathered,

to stand in the circle of the brave

and call one another family.

There is a beauty here,

in laughter echoing across the firelight,

in friendships that rise stronger than smoke,

in hands once trembling

now lifted with pride.

We come from every corner—

from states stretched wide across this nation,

from Canada’s mountains and rivers,

carrying our stories, our scars, our songs,

to meet in this one place of belonging.

This camp is more than a place—

it is a promise,

that healing is possible,

that hope has no borders,

that our stories, though different,

can weave into one.

The International Burn Camp is a gift,

a living reminder

that strength is born of trial,

that joy is born of community,

and that every survivor carries a light

bright enough to ignite the world.

Welcome! I’m truly honored to have you here. This blog was born from a deep desire to inspire and uplift others, serving as a beacon of hope in challenging times. As a trauma survivor, I have had my fair share of challenges and obstacles. However, there was a reason I made it through each and every one of those moments. I always say, if I can help just one person with anything I have been through, then all the pain is worth it. Afterall, this is His Story not mine
