An Open Page, A Willing Heart
A new year always feels like an open page—one filled with hope and dreams, goals and intentions, prayers whispered and promises yet to unfold. For me, 2026 doesn’t just hold big goals; it carries even bigger dreams—dreams planted by God long before I ever had the courage to name them.
There is something deeply sacred about beginnings. About slowing down long enough to reflect, to breathe, and to ask the Lord, “What are You inviting me into next?” As this year begins, my heart is both humbled and grateful—to still be here, still writing, still walking alongside so many of you in seasons both beautiful and broken.
Every January, my church begins the year with a corporate fast. It is a holy reset—a laying down of distractions and a sharpening of focus. Each year it humbles me, stretches me, and teaches me something new. Fasting recenters my heart, aligns my spirit, and reminds me that true strength comes not from striving, but from surrender. It sets the tone for the year ahead and fixes my eyes back on the One who leads it all.
This blog is one of those callings God keeps drawing me back to.
It has never been just about words on a screen. It has always been about healing and honesty. About faith forged in fire. About resilience when the road is long and choosing hope even when life feels unbearably heavy. It is about reminding ourselves that we are fully seen, deeply loved, and never walking alone—even in the flames of life.
Above all, this space exists to glorify the King in all things.
As we step into 2026, my prayer is that this blog continues to be a place where real life meets real faith—where questions are welcomed, wounds are acknowledged, and God’s redemptive work is made visible.
I’d Love to Hear From You!
One of the greatest gifts you give me is your presence—and your voice. This is not a one-way conversation. I would truly love to know:
• What topics or themes would you like to see more of this year?
Do you desire more personal stories, deeper research, or biblical reflections on specific struggles?
• Are there questions you’re wrestling with, seasons you’re walking through, or stories you need help finding words for?
• Do you want more reflections on faith, healing, purpose, burnout, grief, joy, or rebuilding after loss?
This blog grows best when it grows with you. I’ve had some deeply meaningful conversations with readers who have seen my heart through these words—and that is exactly why this space exists. This blog is for you, about you, and meant to connect you to hope, truth, and ultimately to Christ.
Please share your thoughts in the comments or email me directly. Your voice matters here.
How You Can Support This Space:
If this blog has ever encouraged you, comforted you, or reminded you that you are not alone, there are a few meaningful ways you can support this work throughout the year:
• Share posts that speak to you—sometimes God uses a simple share to meet someone in their darkest moment.
• Visit the store, where every purchase helps sustain this ministry and other ministries!
• Give, if you feel led—your generosity allows me to continue writing, creating, and pouring into this space with consistency and prayer.
• Engage—your comments, messages, and conversations mean more than you know.
Every act of support helps keep this mission alive and moving forward.
What This Means to Me
Getting to pour into your lives through this blog is not something I take lightly. It is a sacred honor—one I carry with prayer, discernment, and deep intention. I cannot tell you how many blogs go unposted because they do not feel presentable or ready to go into your lives. Its a sacred duty to pour into you and not take, to give from the depths of pain and joy, and to allow for God to take my words and impact lives. I will never not be humbled by that thought. Writing here is one of the ways God allows me to take what I’ve lived, what I’ve learned, and what I am still healing from, and use it to testify that hope is real and restoration is possible.
I do not write from a place of having everything figured out. I write from the place of obedience—walking it out one faithful step at a time. The fact that you invite me into your quiet moments, your inboxes, and your sacred spaces means more to me than I could ever fully express.
What You Can Expect From Me
One of my goals for this year is to write weekly for the blog—yes, weekly. My heart is to offer steady connection, encouragement, and truth throughout the year, not just in moments of inspiration. Thus why your suggestions are so important!
Another major goal I am prayerfully pursuing is transitioning this work into a nonprofit ministry called Healing a Burned Soul. This is about stewarding what God has placed in my heart for others and expanding the reach of this mission. That is why your support—prayerfully and practically—matters so deeply.
There are many more dreams ahead, but for now…
Here’s to 2026.
To deeper faith.
To honest conversations.
To healing that continues.
To a community that carries one another when strength runs low.
Thank you for being here.
Let’s build this year—together, with God at the center.
God Bless You,
Kelsay Parrott
