Our Connections Bring More

We were sitting in a circle at a seminary—men and women, many of whom had walked through incarceration, all carrying different stories, different burdens, different pasts. And then there were those of us who had come from college for a week of missions. Different worlds, brought into one room. One by one, we made simple statements.

“I’ve traveled outside the country.” “My favorite color is blue.” “I’ve been arrested.”

After each statement, we tossed a spool of yarn across the circle. With every throw, a thread stretched from one person to another, until eventually, we weren’t just individuals sitting in a room—we were connected. Every story, every hand, every moment woven into something bigger than ourselves. What struck me wasn’t just the activity—it was the truth behind it.

We are far more connected than we realize.

And that is exactly how this blog…this ministry…this calling God has placed on my life is growing and being refined. It’s not through algorithms. It’s not through strategy. It’s through people. It’s through you reading something and feeling a tug on your heart. It’s through you thinking of someone else who needs that exact word. It’s through you sending it, sharing it, passing the “thread” along.

If I look back on my own journey—the moments that shaped me, the doors that opened, the healing that began—it almost always came through someone else being willing to extend a thread. Someone took a chance. Someone shared something. Someone invited me into a space where God could move. And now, we get to be part of that for someone else.

So this isn’t just a “thank you for reading.”

This is a call to action.

If something you read here speaks to you—don’t let it stop with you. Send it to one person. Just one. Start a thread. Build the circle.

And as we do this together, I want to turn it into something tangible—a movement, a campaign of connection. In the coming weeks, I’ll be doing a giveaway of blog merch for those who share posts, engage, and help grow this community. Not for recognition, but as a small way to celebrate what God is doing through all of us. So jump to the website, get your own merch whether a sticker or shirt or mug. It all impacts the movement going forward!

I was sitting in a class that my mentor Renee said for us to ponder this question, "If God gives good gifts to His people, what is in your box?" I sat typing this and heard the Lord tell me, "Stop holding yourself back and let it happen. Stop letting the fear of man stop you from promoting yourself in a Godly way for I have given you all you need, all I desire, and I want to see you flourish. So let it happen and let it go." So this is me listening to that call in a terrifying and exciting way!!

Because every share matters. Every message matters. Every life touched is another thread in something eternal.

So thank you—for being here, for reading, for sharing, and for allowing God to use you as part of this story.

If you’re new, take some time to explore. If you’ve been here, go deeper. And if God places something on your heart—whether it’s a topic, a question, or a story—reach out. I don’t write from a place of having all the answers. I write from what God is teaching me… and often, from what you’re walking through too.

Let’s keep building the circle. May the Circle Be Unbroken and keep growing!

One thread at a time.

Welcome! I’m truly honored to have you here. This blog was born from a deep desire to inspire and uplift others, serving as a beacon of hope in challenging times. As a trauma survivor, I have had my fair share of challenges and obstacles. However, there was a reason I made it through each and every one of those moments. I always say, if I can help just one person with anything I have been through, then all the pain is worth it. Afterall, this is His Story not mine
