Entering into May

As we step into May, my heart feels especially full.

April didn’t come quietly—it carried its weight, its challenges, its moments that stretched me in ways I didn’t expect. It has not been an easy month. But even in that, I see grace. I see growth. I see the quiet, steady faithfulness of God meeting me right where I am. Inspite of myself, the Lord has shown up.

And now… May.

May holds a sacred place in my story.

This month marks my burn anniversary—a time that always brings me back to the beginning of a journey I never would have chosen, yet one that has shaped me in ways I could have never imagined. A journey I would never wish on anyone, but I am honored to have experienced myself. It’s a time of remembering… not just what happened, but everything that has come from it. And inspite of it.

The healing.

The strength I didn’t know I had.

The purpose God has continued to reveal in the pain.

Being a survivor isn’t just about what I made it through—it’s about who God has been through every single step of it. It’s about who He is still shaping me to be. Its about reflecting and appreciating the joy He set before me and how I can change the world with my story that He has written.

So this month, I want to lean into that reflection in a deeper, more intentional way.

I’ll be sharing two kinds of posts throughout May:

First—gratitude.

Raw, honest, heartfelt gratitude. Stories, thank-you’s, moments that mattered. The people, the prayers, the small miracles that carried me when I couldn’t carry myself. I want to revisit this journey with humility and honor every piece of it. And reflect on the places where being a survivor didnt matter but still changed the course of my journey.

Second—your questions.

Over time, I’ve been asked so many meaningful, thoughtful questions about my journey—about surviving, about faith in the middle of suffering, about recovery, about wrestling with God and trusting Him anyway. So I’m opening that door wider.

Ask anything. Truly.

Whether it’s about my story, my faith, the hard parts, the healing, or the in-between—I would love to answer. If it’s on your heart, it matters.

And for those who have subscribed to the newsletter—get ready. Your first one is coming soon, and I couldn’t be more excited. This is something I’ve been praying over and building with intention, and I can’t wait to share more of what the Lord is doing, both behind the scenes and in the everyday moments.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this:

Even in the hardest chapters, God is never absent.

Even in the pain, He is still writing something meaningful.

And this month… we’re going to remember that together!

Welcome! I’m truly honored to have you here. This blog was born from a deep desire to inspire and uplift others, serving as a beacon of hope in challenging times. As a trauma survivor, I have had my fair share of challenges and obstacles. However, there was a reason I made it through each and every one of those moments. I always say, if I can help just one person with anything I have been through, then all the pain is worth it. Afterall, this is His Story not mine
