Dear Future Husband,
I have been praying for you for years now. I’ve prayed for your strength, your wisdom, and for your connection with God to be stronger than any other relationship in your life.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight."— Proverbs 3:5-6
I've prayed for your protection. Times when I didn’t know why you needed prayer, but I prayed because God placed it on my heart. I’ve prayed for that car to miss you on the road and for illness to go away. I’ve prayed for you in times where I wasn't sure if something was wrong, but it felt right to pray.
"The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore." — Psalm 121:8
I've prayed for your love. For love to flow into every space of your being—love for the Father, love for me, love for our future children, love for the world, and love for people. I pray that God reveals His heart to you and shows you who you are in Him so your love can grow even more.
"We love because He first loved us." — 1 John 4:19
I’ve prayed for our love. That it will be a reflection of God's perfect love for us. That it will be kind, patient, and enduring, with each of us learning to love the other as Christ loves the Church. I pray that our love will grow through every season of life, drawing us closer to each other and to Him.
"And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity."— Colossians 3:14
I’ve prayed for our future family. For the children we will raise, for the home we will build, and for the legacy we will create. I pray that God blesses us with children who know and love Him, that our home is filled with peace, joy, and faith. That our family will always seek His guidance and walk in His light.
"Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from Him."— Psalm 127:3
I've prayed for your integrity. That you are a man of your word and that you stand firm in God, using Him as your guiding star. That you never waver from His truth, and that He continues to edify and strengthen you.
"The righteous man walks in his integrity; his children are blessed after him."— Proverbs 20:7
I’ve prayed for you every day, for years now. I’ve prayed for things that are happening in the present and for things yet to come. And I will continue to pray. Until that day you are mine, and then, my prayers will be for us—together. I trust that God is working in you, and I believe His plans for us are beautiful.
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
With all my love,
Your future Wife
